There is nothing quite like painting in the fresh air, al fresco. The last 5 years of Hutch's practice have been dominated by fine liner studio based illustrative/print work so this painting starts a new era and presents a balancing counterpoint to pen drawing. Ally Fresco is a the first oil painting made outside by Hutch since 2019. The title is simply word play, a momentary pseudonym taken on by Hutch.
